The 13th edition of IPL ended a few nights ago with not so happy ending for the first-time finalists Delhi Capitals. In this IPL, there were few performances that shocked everyone. From Tewatia’s 5 sixes in an over which lead to the biggest ever run chase in IPL history to Nattu’s perfect yorkers’ we had outstanding performances by Indian uncapped players. Here is the list of players who deserve a place in the Indian squad in the near future.

1- Surya Kumar Yadav

This list has to start with this name. What a player! He’s been performing in IPL for the last3-4 years consistently but didn’t get lucky yet. He is currently playing for Mumbai Indians lead by Rohit Sharma. He scored 480 runs with an average of 40 and was one of the contenders for The orange cap. He single-handedly won matches for MI who defended their trophy. After the selection of the Australia tour, BCCI selectors were criticized for not selecting him. Let’s hope that we’ll see him in the Indian jersey soon.

 2-Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt plays for RCB lead by our Indian captain Virat Kohli. He even won the emerging player award of the year this season. He was the leading run-scorer for the Bangalore franchise with 473 runs with an average of 31.5 and was one of the contenders for the orange cap. He’s just 20 years old and represented India-A in 2019. This was his first IPL season and he played exceptionally well. If he continues this, he might get a chance to play for the Indian team in a year or two.

 3-Varun Chakravarthy

Varun plays for KKR owned by our very own Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. He played a couple of matches in IPL before but was ruled of due to injuries. But this season he played 13 matches and was exceptional. He took 17 wickets which include greats like MS Dhoni. Living up to his name as the “Mystery Spinner” he helped KKR really well in the absence of Sunil Narine who is their key bowler. He got selected for the Australia tour but was ruled out due to injury. Maybe, next time.
